November 6-8th at the Watershed Center, Millerton, NY

 This an invitation for foundation trustee members, executives, program officers, impact investors, as well as major donors, donor organizers, and resource mobilizers who work directly with organizers and activists on the ground to create a space of learning and reflection on how we are deploying resources to the movements of our time. With the Dreamers movement, People’s Climate March, The Women’s March, Movement for Black Lives platform, the #BlackLivesMatter network, and most recently post 2016 elections, the emergence of Indivisible, Antifa, and self-organized relief efforts we ultimately are looking to build an irrigation system of support for our resource mobilization efforts across movements. We are a learning community on mobilizing resources in movements that transform our giving into an intentional networked regenerative economy. Join us!

Who Might Attend:

You are a…donor, program officer, board member of a foundation, trustee, someone working in socially responsible investing, a loan officer at a community loan, coop developer, or any other kind of person working to mobilize philanthropic strategies and resources (grants and investments) in greater alignment with social justice movements.

You are interested in…structural change and the radical transformation of philanthropy as part of a larger social change strategy. This may mean that you identify as anti-capitalist or are open to thinking through how to organize our economy and redistribute wealth to serve all human needs. You may also be a part of movements for liberation and land reclamation and be interested in thinking through philanthropy’s role in reparations.

You will…build community with us, and hopefully, take what you learn at the retreat to help us to organize with others!
